Notice to Stakeholders – 17-01 MJ Packaging and Labeling Rules Review CR-101

Today the LCB issued a Notice of Rulemaking (I noticed that the links on their site lead to 404 not found pages... I guess good web help is hard to find...) - anyway, here's the full text of the notification they sent below.

One of the two PDF attachments they sent was just a repeat from the email, I suppose in case you'd want to save it or print it, the other attachment they sent was "Preproposal Statement of Inquiry" - click those links if you want to view or download the 2 PDF files.

NOTICE OF RULE MAKING – Pre-proposal - #17-01

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board has entered into the initial stage of rule making (CR 101) for marijuana packaging, labeling, and related rule changes in Chapter 314-55. The WSLCB is embarking on a project to clarify, streamline, and make necessary changes to packaging and labeling rules, rules related to warnings, and may address servings and transaction limits changes and other related rule changes including technical changes.
This notice can be found at under Proposed Rules.

The Liquor and Cannabis Board encourages you to give input on these potential changes. Following the comment period, the agency will send out and publish the proposed rules, establish a comment period on the proposed rules, and hold a public hearing before the rules are adopted.

Public Comment
Please forward your initial comments to the Liquor and Cannabis Board by mail, e-mail, or fax by April 5, 2017.
